Our Story

Drew Armstrong, Co-Owner

We started DL Accounting, LLC after a member of our circle needed help getting his business started. Although he had years of experience working in his industry, the process of running a business were daunting to him.

This is when we stepped in to take care of the barriers standing between him and his new business. We wrote him a business plan, financial plan and accompanied him to the bank that he planned to get financing from. We ensured the bank that he was in good hands and would be able to maintain the loan he was taking out.

After starting the business, he realized that keeping track of his finances would take a massive amount of time. It wasn’t something he had ever done before. That’s when we agreed to take care of it for him. We set him up with QuickBooks Online and began tracking all of his income and expenses.

After helping him, we realized that helping someone start a business was a thrill that we could and should duplicate. The risk and anxiety is far outweighed by the reward of building something to help people.

We agreed that the next course of action that made sense was to start a business of our own. This business would focus on helping people who don’t know the ins and outs of the business world, but are willing to be brave and take a chance.

Our Experience

DL Accounting is led by Drew and Lauren — two young professionals with a strong foundation in business and accounting, and a modern approach to client service. Both hold bachelor’s degrees in accounting, and Drew holds an MBA. We’ve been working in the field since high school and college, gaining hands-on experience in construction accounting, corporate finance, and high-end tax preparation before launching DL Accounting in 2022.

We’re QuickBooks ProAdvisors who specialize in helping small businesses, trades, restaurants, and rental property owners stay organized and tax-ready. Drew focuses on tax preparation and planning, while Lauren leads our bookkeeping services. Our goal is to make your financial life easier — by handling the details, minimizing your workload, and giving you peace of mind.
